Custom Archtop Build by Hans Elferink

Yes, I make saxophone mouthpieces but I also attempt to play Jazz guitar. Having been a maker of custom mouthpieces for over two decades it seemed only natural to seek out a builder of fine Archtops Guitars rather than buying “Off the rack”. Being in the EU gives me easy access to Hans Elferink (from the Netherlands) who has been in the business of makeing archtop guitars for 25 years. His attention to detail is a stuff of legend among players and I feel priviledged to have one of his guitars.

I informed Hans I would be makeing this page. I am not receiving discounts or special treatment in exhange. Many of my customers have assisted my growth within a competitive industry so its the least I can do in order to, “Pay if forward” …so to speak. It is also the least I can do as thanks for him tolerating what must seem to be an endless stream of questions on my part.

I will be posting photos as the work move forward. The guitar is an 18 inch Excallibur Model with a floating Dearmond Pickup.
