The Rift Tenor takes after its alto counterpart. Its a full bodied piece with the power of a high baffled mouthpiece. Unlike high baffle pieces, it is easy to control and it does not peel paint. It was designed to meet the demands of performaing sax players who need a versatile piece that will blast through the mix when needed.

The Rift tenor is sold only direct through Phil-Tone. Each chamber is tweaked individually to get the best tone and power you will find in a hard rubber tenor piece. Each piece is also adjusted to make altissimo a breeze. Dont let appearances fool you, while it has a bullet it DOES NOT sound like a Berg. A bullet alters chamber volume. It does not create the Berg sound.

In terms of tip size I generally suggest players go up a half size from what they would play in a link style piece.
